The community of Georgetown has a long history dating back to the early 1800s, and the character of its streets reflects its vibrant history. As the largest community in the town of Halton Hills, Georgetown offers a variety of housing options from 19th century heritage homes, mid-century bungalows, and newer developments from the 1990s onward. This area is well-known for its beautiful downtown and Main Street, where you will find the Halton Hills Cultural Centre and the Downtown Georgetown Farmers Market, which open every Saturday from June to October. Georgetown’s location within Escarpment Country and its abundance of parks provide lots of opportunities for outdoor fun and activities. In addition to its Farmers Market, Georgetown regularly hosts large-scale, community events like its Fall Fair, Santa Claus Parade, and even a craft beer festival.
